Where taxpayers' money is spent
Total public spending is expected to be around £488 billion in 2004-05, around £8,000 for every man, woman and child in the UK. It is set to rise to £520 billion in 2005-06 and to £549 billion in 2006-07. Where taxpayers' money is spentTotal managed expenditure - £488 billion
